Happy National Scrapbook Day

Yep, even scrapbookers have a day and it is this Saturday, May 1st.
I know Saturday is going to be super crazy, (we have a race in Provo and then a fundraiser that evening and if the weather cooperates with us maybe even some much needed yard work.)  In honor of National Scrapbook day, I have spent the last couple of days listing to my iTunes and scrapbooking.  I have actually got alot done, about 6 layouts.  I thought I would share some of them with you.

LOVED this paper the first time I saw it.  Its Daisy Bucket Designs-My little Monsters.
Then I saw these little monsters on the Silhouette website and just new I had to do this page.

Two layouts spotlighting my youngest first day of pre-school. (You could say I am a little behind).
The paper is Bo Bunny and it was so bright and busy I didn't think it needed much else, just some cutouts and buttons.

And a birthday layout for D3.  Paper is 3 Bugs in a Rug and of course another layered flower using pop dots to really give it dimension.

As I have said before, I like to keep my layouts a little on the simple side so that the focus is really on the photos.  (don't believe me, watch your kids flip through an old scrapbook do they ooh and ahh over the pages or smile at the photos?)

I hope you get some time this Saturday (or before) to sit down and scrapbook.

Happy NSD!!
