Crepe Paper Roses

I have been wanting to try Crepe Paper Flowers for a while now.  I think they are so beautiful.
I ordered some Crepe paper and it finally came the other day so I played around with it a little and it isn't as difficult as I thought it might be.

I needed a thank you for a special lady and decided to make her a vase with the crepe paper roses.

I love how they turned out.

I used my Silhouette to cut out a template for the petals and leaves, then placed the template on the crepe paper and cut out.

With the Silhouette I also designed a tag with some .png graphics I had on hand and created a print and cut image.
By using the Color settings it was easy to manipulate the colors and make them match the roses.

If you want to try your hand at Crepe Paper Flowers here is the paper that I used.
You can find lots of free templates and insturctions on line.
And the best glue to use is a cool melt glue gun.

Go ahead give Crepe Paper Flowers a try- but warning they are addicting.
