Using Fabric With The Cameo and A Big Announcement

I am so excited!
We recently had a new shop open in Sandy (Salt Lake City, UT)
My Girlfriends Sewing Machine and Education Center.

This shop is so much more than a quilting shop. Its an education center, specializing in teaching how to use sewing, long arm and embroidery machines.
They will also carry the Silhouette Cameo.

I have been invited to teach Silhouette Cameo Classes using fabric!

I have used my Cameo for a long time to create quilts, applique and other fabric projects but now I will get to share those with you!

My first class will be held on October 12 from 11 am - 1 pm.
This will be an introduction to the Cameo.

We will highlight 3 projects with three techniques.

First I will demonstrate how easy it is  to use Kimberbell Applique Glitter sheets to create a cute t-shirt.

We will also discuss how to use Kimberbell Embroidery files, import SVG files and cut setting for different types of materials.

In class, we will work on this project as  you learn how to use images from the Silhouette Store and the drawing tools to create a fun home decor piece.

Because this is an introductory class, if you do not yet own a Cameo, you can still come and follow along.  If you have your own Cameo feel free to bring it and a lap top.

For the pillow  project, you will  need to bring the following supplies:

8 x8  Kimberbell Pillow form
Kimberbell Applique Glitter Sheets- Black
Fat sixteenth fabric ( Border and pillow back)
Fat Sixteenth Fabric- white
Scraps Striped fabric for legs
Scrap Black fabric of shoes.
2 buttons
Sewing machine, cords, thread etc.

If you are interested in attending the class, please sign up here.

I look forward to meeting many new friends and working with long established ones. I hope to see you soon.
