Once In a Blue June Blog Hop

Welcome to the SVG Attic Once In A Blue June blog hop!  We are so excited to have you join us today!

At each stop of the hop we hope you will be inspired by the creativity of SVG Attic's AMAZING Inspiration Team. You are sure to find many wonderful projects that will be at the top of your crafting lists!

You should be arriving from Lisa's blog. If you happened across this post out of order, please head to the SVG Attic blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

Here is what I created for the hop:

When I think of June, I think of summer and when I hear the word blue it reminds me of water.
Blue June means Summer Water.
It doesn't matter if its walking by the river path, fishing on the lake, playing with the grand-kids at the pool or relaxing on the beach, water is a huge part of our summer.

To create my summer water project I used three kits from SVG Attic.

The most important accessory for summer is a cute pair of flip flops, so how about a pair of flip flop boxes?

The flip flop file comes from the JGW Tropical Heaven kit.
To make a matching pair I simply mirrored the file before I started cutting.

Next up is a beach hat.
The hat uses the 3D Gardner's Hat from JGW Gaby's Garden.
To keep the size in proportion with the flip flops I scaled it down to 75%. That makes the tabs kind of small but it is still workable.
I used the smallest flowers from the flip flip file and added brads and a ribbon.

If you are going to play in the water you need a pretty bucket.
(OK, this one is made with paper but it will hold lots of yummy treats).

The bucket is made from the popcorn treat bucket in the SVGA Sweet Shop Party kit.
Resize the bucket to 50%.
Add the flower and the tag from the flip flop file and add a handle.

I hope you enjoyed my project for the Blue June blog hop and will be inspired to create something wonderful!

You have accumulated so much experience in this arena. Very happy that you are sharing so much. (I love the PAIR of flip flops, especially!)
