Happy National Scrapbook Day

Yep, even scrapbookers have a day and it is this Saturday, May 1st.
I know Saturday is going to be super crazy, (we have a race in Provo and then a fundraiser that evening and if the weather cooperates with us maybe even some much needed yard work.)  In honor of National Scrapbook day, I have spent the last couple of days listing to my iTunes and scrapbooking.  I have actually got alot done, about 6 layouts.  I thought I would share some of them with you.

LOVED this paper the first time I saw it.  Its Daisy Bucket Designs-My little Monsters.
Then I saw these little monsters on the Silhouette website and just new I had to do this page.

Two layouts spotlighting my youngest first day of pre-school. (You could say I am a little behind).
The paper is Bo Bunny and it was so bright and busy I didn't think it needed much else, just some cutouts and buttons.

And a birthday layout for D3.  Paper is 3 Bugs in a Rug and of course another layered flower using pop dots to really give it dimension.

As I have said before, I like to keep my layouts a little on the simple side so that the focus is really on the photos.  (don't believe me, watch your kids flip through an old scrapbook do they ooh and ahh over the pages or smile at the photos?)

I hope you get some time this Saturday (or before) to sit down and scrapbook.

Happy NSD!!

New Project 12 Sketches

Wow April almost got away and I didn't even get the new Sketch up.  If you are following along  with project 12, here is the sketch for April.

I love this sketch and I have the perfect Pictures for it already.  I can not wait to get started on it.

Someone emailed me and said they could not find the Sketch for February.  I thought I had posted it (but there is a good chance I did not) so here it is if you missed it.

It is just way to cue not to use. I am thinking pinks, reds and all things "lovey"

Now I am really in the mood to scrapbook.  I think if I get some spare time this weekend I will be found in my little corner playing with paper and other fun things.  How about you?  Lets see what you are working on.

New April Calendars

April is here and I have two "uber" cute new calendars for your desktop so lets just jump right in.

No suprise here, this first one is from Shabby Princess. If you haven't been to Shabby Princess for a while they have some new free digital kits also.  The calendar is on their blog and the kits on the website.

My pick this month is from Bo Bunny.  I love the color (pink-yumm,) the ribbon, the paper and just everything about it.

I hope everyone had a great Easter.  I was busy with my girls making all kinds of projects so check back and see what fun things we have been up too.
