Hanging Heart Box

So I got my Cameo and I am LOVING it!  Today I finally got a little time to play around with it.  I used the fill feature and brought in some paper from a digital kit I purchased at My Memories, (its the I Toadally Love You kit and its on sale right now!) and the heart box from the silhouette store. I had to make my own handle but that  was way easy with a rectangle and the fill feature again.

Then I used the trace feature to cut out the frog, tag and heart.

Here is the finished project.

Its a pretty simple little box, but filled with some yummy chocolate hearts it will be perfect for giving to friends or even a teacher.

If you don't have a Cameo , here is a template I found.
Lets see what fun projects you are working on this week.

Valentine Cards & Envelopes and a guest blogger

Check it out, I was asked to be a guest blogger over at Sassy baby.  What an honor!

Here are the Valentine Cards & Envelopes I made.  They went together super fast and easy.  In fact my baby (she is 11) can't wait to make her own this weekend.

Products used to make 12 cards and envelopes:  We R Memory Keepers Love stuck Line,

My Valentine

Additional Supplies:
White, pink, blue and green cardstock
ATG  Gun or other tape runner (glue sticks will not work well)
Scop-pal or trimmer with score blade

Optional Supplies:
1” Circle punch
Heart punch
Ribbon or other embellishments

1. Start by cutting apart the tags.
2. If you would like you can decorate the fronts with more heart punch outs, ribbon or ink.
3.  With staples or glue, add ribbon or circle cut outs to make tabs.
4.  You can add a 3.5 x 2.5 scrap of paper to the back to leave a message if you would like.

5. to make the envelope cut a piece of cardstock 3.5 x 7.5
6. score at 2.25” and again at 5.5” on the long side of the card stock
7. Use a circle punch and punch a half circle in the middle section of the envelope. (optional)
8. fold on score lines
9. turn envelope over, run tape on the right side of the middle section (across from the circle cut out)  and the bottom.
10. Fold top of envelope down and then the bottom up.

11. Decorate the front of each envelope using strips of printed cardstock, heart punches, ribbon and other embellishments.

That’s all there is to it.  Decorate all your envelopes, slip the tags in.  Have your child sign his/her name and even add a message.

What a fun alternative to those "cheepy" cards you by at the super market!

Winter kits 2012

Happy New Years, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.
We had one daughter get engaged and another one headed that way.  Looks like I will be in wedding mode this year!

Anyway, I have some new kits and am excited to share them with you but first I have to explain.  Here in Utah we haven't seen much snow this year and it was kind of a "brown" Christmas.  Don't get me wrong, I love the warmer weather and being able to go outside without freezing my tushie but I know some are missing it.

Because I don't care for cold weather, I don't really love to decorate for it.  I would prefer to go from Christmas to Valentines and forget all the snow.  This year I designed 4 kits around my desire to celebrate Valentines early and remembering those who really like (or in some cases, miss) the snow.

Snowmen Melt my Heart
cost $15.00
OK, so I do have to admit that I like to see all the snowmen littering the yards of my friends and neighbors.  There is something special about those little guys with their old scarves and twinkling eyes.  This kit comes with vinyl, paper, letters, snowflakes and even felt and instructions to make the cute little hat. It will bring a smile to your face every time you see it.

Winter Subway Art
cost $12.00
Remind yourself of all the fun things winter has in store with this fun subway art.  Kit comes with unpainted wood, vinyl, button and ribbon.

Mitten Door Hanger
cost $13.00
I have had lots of requests for more shapes and no wonder, they are so cute! Hang these mittens (each one is over 7") on the back of your door, from a peg or even a wreath hanger.  They go together quick and are a lot of fun.  (Do you think if I put them on the back door, the kids will remember to grab their gloves before they head out?  Just an idea.)
Kit includes painted wood, paper, ribbon and vinyl.

Snowman blocks 2
cost $10.00
These little snowmen were a hit for Super Saturdays.  I can't tell you how many we did.  I dressed him up a little to match the new kits and he is already to go.  Perfect kit for a beginner or a pro. He will definitely warm your spirits
Kit comes with unpainted blocks, paper, fabric and everything you need to finish him up.

I will be taking orders from now until Jan 12th.  Please email me your order at

Remember $5.00 off each individual order of 3 or more different kits.

Have a great week!
